
The Kaiser Estate Tour 1.0 Hours
Leaving from GarWoods Restaurant at Carnelian Bay, we head over to the estate of Henry Kaiser, Fleur du Lac, where the Godfather, Part II was filmed. A wealthy industrialist, Kaiser represents one of the largest boating legacies at the lake. His friendly but spirited, and expensive, competitions with Stanley Dollar created not only many memorable race days through the forties, but also caused the construction of many of the world's fastest boats. We'll also pass by the Sierra Boat Company, location of the Tahoe Concours d'Elegance.

The Sugar Pine Tour 1.5 Hours
Leaving from GarWoods Restaurant at Carnelian Bay, we head toward the Tahoe Maritime Museum at Sugar Pine Point, the former estate of Isaias W. Hellman, former President of Wells Fargo Bank. You'll pass a major west shore landmarks such as Homewood and Tahoma. As well as Sunnyside, the location closest to where Stanley Dollar's world champion hydroplane Skip-a-Long sank on race day back in 1949.

The Thunderbird Lodge Tour 1.5 Hours
Leaving from GarWoods Restaurant at Carnelian Bay, we head toward the Thunderbird Lodge in Incline Village, Nevada. Thunderbird, a fifty-five foot HackerCraft is the largest Hacker ever made. John Hacker designed and built the Thunderbird in 1939 for George Whittell. His magnificent stone estate, Thunderbird Lodge, is now a tourist attraction. We'll also cruise by the Cal Neva Lodge, formerly owned by Frank Sinatra, and frequently visited by the Rat Pack. Cal Neva is where the casino is located in Nevada but the hotel is in California.

Emerald Bay 3.0 Hours
Leaving from GarWoods Restaurant at Carnelian Bay, we head toward Emerald Bay, the location of Fannette Island, the only island on Lake Tahoe, Vikingsholm and Emerald Bay State Park. See the Tea House built on the island by Mrs. Lora Knight, builder of Vikingsholdm. We'll also cruise by the Tallac Historic site on the return trip.

While we have done our best to create a list of tours which have proven popular with our previous guests, obviously, if you can select a destination, or even an event, like a wedding, we can provide the transportation.
Our guides are all U.S. Coast Guard licensed captains who are bonded and fully insured. They will always make your safety and well being a priority. And, since they are people who have grown up on the lake, they are fully capable and interested in offering tour suggestions or sharing with you some of the rich history of Lake Tahoe.
